About Reverse DNS

Reverse DNS maps an IP address back to a hostname via a PTR record. Many mail servers require valid PTR for better deliverability and to fight spam.

If there is no PTR or it points to a generic ISP name, contact your provider to configure it. Note that PTR is set by the owner of the IP block, not the domain owner.
